Kenneth O'shea Neal

Kenneth O’Shea Neal was born to Paul James Neal and Dorothy Marie (Wilkerson) Neal at Oakland California on July 28, 1956. He passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 30, 2025 from metastatic cancer. He was 68 years old.

Ken attended Richmond High School. His first job was delivering newspapers when he was about 10 years old. He worked a number of jobs: at Atlas Foundry, several gas stations, for refinery contractors including Alwaste and Pesco, for California Plant Protection Security, and owned Kangaroo Kastles Bounce House rentals.

He is survived by his wife: Marjorie (Geiger) Neal, children: Christine Hannigan, Paul Neal & Monica Becerra-Neal, Rachel Neal; grandchild: Alex Hannigan; Brothers: James, William, Arbie, and Robert; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Paul and Dorothy Neal, Sisters: Beverly, Georgia-LaDeanne, Donna, Shirley, Margaret, and Cynthia; and brothers: Samuel, Ronald, Charles, and Richard.

Ken loved going on adventures with his family. He loved: Fishing, camping, hunting, going on cruises, and visiting the national and state parks. He loved to take Alex to the parks, zoos, aquariums, museums, theme parks, and for pizza or McDonalds. He loved playing ball. He was on the baseball league at school, bowling league, and liked to throw the football around with his nephews. He was not a big fan of watching sports, except wrestling- when Margie was doing something else. He loved helping people with projects. He helped his daughters with their fixer-upper projects, to renovate 4 houses. His son and nephews helped him rebuild our fence in May 2024- after his Whipple surgery.

The Celebration of Life will be on July 5th at Journey Community Church- 201 Doyle Drive in Vallejo, CA at 2:00 with reception following. You can donate to your favorite charity or to Journey Church in lieu of flowers.
